Coach Darryl Sutter not talking injuries after Kings practice

On the loss of Jeff Carter and the impact it will have on the team:

“I didn’t know we lost him.”

On his injury:

“There are several guys injured.”

On what play Carter was hurt on:

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, where did you get your info from? It’s somebody in the organization that told you, where you got it, then you go talk to them. I have’t been told anything. There are several players not out there this morning. I’m extremely disappointed that information is given to you before it’s given to us, if it’s coming from inside. That’s disappointing. The league probably announced this stuff because of IR. Teams announce stuff because of suspensions, whatever, right? But for me to get asked that question because somebody told you, go talk to them. I have nothing to say about any of that stuff. That’s disappointing, it’s not the way it’s supposed to work.”

On if Carter will play tomorrow:

“I have nothing to say about anybody. Everything is maintenance. Who else wasn’t out there today, or who was, or who played with who today. Our responsibility is to protect players at all cost and for that to come out is very disappointing.”
