AUDIO: West Coast Bias on NHL Network Radio – November 3, 2013

Along with my co-host Jonathan Davis, we packed another two hours of hockey talk into this week’s episode of West Coast Bias over on NHL Network Radio. Joining us for some of the fun was former goaltender Kelly Hrudey of Hockey Night in Canada, plus veteran official (and author) Kerry Fraser.

One of the key highlights was Hrudey going hard after the Edmonton Oilers young players. And he became the first guest to ever use the phrase ‘Calgarians’ on the show.

Among the other topics, teams and players we debated and discussed throughout the show were: Charlie Coyle v Mikael Granlund, Minnesota Wild, Dany Heatley, Nino Niederreiter, Rich Clune, Dan Carcillo, Kyle Clifford, fighting in the NHL, Best Fight of the Week, Mike Cammalleri, other players who might be traded soon, Philadelphia Flyers, Ray Emery putting a beating on Braden Holtby, Ron Hextall, Paul Holmgren, Joe Thornton, San Jose Sharks, Darryl Sutter’s LA Kings, Anze Kopitar, Gasper Kopitar, Zach Parise, Josh Harding, Devan Dubnyk, why Joey MacDonald was put on waivers, Bobby Ryan, Ottawa Senators, the upcoming Olympics in Sochi, Phoenix Coytoes, Mike Smith, Team Canada, Reto Berra, Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, prospects, Keaton Ellerby, Boyd Gordon, New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, back-up goalies, Brad Richardson, Vancouver Canucks, Searching for Sugarman, Sixto Rodriguez, Johnny Cash, Lemmy from Motorhead and plenty more.

It’s all right here…

HOUR ONE – Kerry Fraser, fighting vs hits, game reviews, etc.

HOUR TWO – Kelly Hrudey, Gordie Howe Hat Trick of the Week, etc.

An all new episode of West Coast Bias will air on NHL Network Radio next Sunday, live from the Honda Center in Anaheim following the Ducks-Canucks game. It all starts at 8pm PST. Hope you’ll join us.
