VIDEO: O’Reilly scores short-handed OT goal to beat Kings

Friday night in Colorado, Willie Mitchell returned to the Kings line-up for the first time since June 2012, playing just over 23 minutes. Up front, Nick Shore – a product of Denver University – scored a goal, picked up an assist and won 9-of-21 faceoffs. After coming in to relieve Ben Scrivens at the start of the third period, goaltender Martin Jones had a bit of a rough night in net, stopping only eight of the 11 shots he faced.

With LA on the power play early in overtime, things ended quickly when Ryan O’Reilly scored a highlight reel goal to down to the visiting Kings…
