AUDIO: Guest spot on NHL Network Radio – LA Kings season preview

On Tuesday I joined host Jim ‘Boomer’ Gordon for another guest spot on NHL Network Radio (XM 92 / Sirius 207). Because not everybody has satellite radio, we thought it best to share the audio here.

In the segment we took a look at all the key issues surrounding the Kings heading into the 2013-14 NHL season – including the health of Willie Mitchell, plans for Jonathan Quick, a prediction on another Kings goaltender, where Matt Frattin fits into the line-up, what to do with Tyler Toffoli, Kyle Clifford’s new contract, why Dean Lombardi signed Dan Carcillo, if Andy Andreoff has a legitimate shot at making the team out of camp, the ongoing development of Slava Voynov, and much more. Give it a listen..

  1. Interesting prediction on Scrivens Mayor! Can you expand on the topic why you think He won’t last in LA?? (The one we’re not privy to see for now??) Inquiring minds are dying here!

    • It’s just based on everything I’ve heard over the past few weeks in talking with multiple people in the organization. I believe the Kings would rather see Garon (or somebody like him), an experienced back-up, whose comfortable in the role, take that spot – even if that means ‘eventually’ compared to right out of the gate. So, that may look like Scrivens starting the year in LA, but not sticking around all season. Call it a hunch.
