Game 3 morning skate – Anze Kopitar comments

Anze Kopitar comments from LA Kings morning skate in advance of Game 3…

On if he thinks the Kings will pull off a win tonight:

“Yeah, for sure. It’s one at a time. We’ve done it before and we have to do it again.”

On the biggest concern for tonight:

“We’re not looking for concerns or anything. It’s a game that we have to win. We’re going to make sure we have a good start and play consistent for 60 minutes.”

On what playing ‘your game’ means:

“You got to be physical, you got to be strong on the puck. Eliminate the turnovers, that’s what’s given us success in the past and what will give us success going forward.”

On if Mike Richards being out adds more pressure to his game:

“Not a whole lot more. Probably got to take a few more face offs, but that’s about it. We have almost a natural center man in Jeff (Jeff Carter) stepping in anyways, so it’s not that big of a deal. We miss Mike of course, but we feel like we have pretty good depth down the middle.”

On if he thinks Jonathan Quick will make big saves tonight:

“Yeah, he’s done it before and we have all the confidence in him that he can do it again.”

On Jonathan Quick coming back strong after being pulled:

“Yeah, that’s what it seems like. Like I said, he’s done it in the past and obviously he still has our confidence and for himself, he’s confident that he can do it.”
