Sutter on playing a full 60 minutes: “I think the most important part of the series that has been well documented is the team that scores the first goal is the team that won the series, that won games. Williams on if the goals were opportunistic: “Yeah I’d say so. Sometimes you get a few more opportunities than you usually get, sometimes you can’t explain it but my line makes some great passes to me and some good turnovers, and we were able to hold on.”

Williams on his performance in game: “I don’t know I certainly enjoy pressure situations, I know everyone in this dressing room does. We pride ourselves on being a team that, push come to shove, we’re going to get it done. We’ve been through it before and we know we can do it.”

Jonathan Quick on the overall game: “It’s no different than any other game when you have a lead. I think if you start approaching it differently just because it’s a win or go home, I think if you approach it differently and now you’re adjusting your game based on the circumstances. You got to try to play your same game no matter what’s going on around you. I think the guys prepared that way.”

Quick on the resilience of the team and always getting the win: “Not necessarily. We would have liked that win in Game 6 so we were able to get it on home ice. Obviously if we’re going to be able to continue in the playoffs we have to win some road games. We got to figure out what’s going on there. We got to get better at it. We had a chance to close it out two nights ago. Sometimes if you give those games up, it might come back and bite you. We were able to win tonight but we definitely know there’s room for improvement. Both Detroit and Chicago are going to be very challenging. We have a lot to prepare for.”
