MayorsManor Live Radio: Kings v Blues preview with Jim Fox

With the 2013 regular season behind us it’s time to talk about who is worthy of being nominated for the NHL Awards and look ahead to the eight playoff match-ups. Who will win in the East? Which teams have a shot at an upset in the West?

First up we’ll check in with Jim Fox, who will break down all the key areas of the Kings-Blues series, talk about the impact of Dustin Brown being out of the line-up the last two games, any concerns with Anze Kopitar’s lack of goal production, Darryl Sutter’s line juggling of late, is Jonathan Quick back to form, Mike Richards role on the team, how different the Blues are (or aren’t) this year vs. 2012, plus he picks winners in the other Western Conference series.

Then, Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period magazine returns to the show to debate all the major NHL Awards, give predictions on every playoff series, who might surprise in the Eastern Conference, which series he’s dubbed the ‘Soft Series’ in the West, which player on the Kings will surprise people in the first round, more on Quick, Kopitar, Carter – and believe it or not – we even agree on a few points heading into the post-season.

It’s more playoff talk than you could ever hope for!  Give it a listen…

Also, yesterday’s show featured Jonathan Davis of Fox Sports West and Joe Yerdon of NBC’s Pro Hockey Talk.  Listen here to see who they each picked in the eight playoff match-ups and for some commentary about this year’s NHL Awards.
