After their last meeting in Los Angeles just two weeks ago, defenseman Drew Doughty told MayorsManor the Coyotes whine nearly as much as the Canucks.
That’s a pretty bold statement, to say the least.
Tonight will mark the final stop of a five-game road trip – one in which 18 different Kings have recorded points thus far. Very impressive for a team that was shutout in their two games prior to leaving Los Angeles.
There was even a Jeff Carter sighting recently. Not once, but twice. The team’s leading goal scorer had found the net just once in a ten game stretch recently, but now he’s recorded markers in back-to-back games.
Dustin Brown is also hot at the moment, as is linemate Justin Williams – both have recorded three goals on the trip.
What’s going to happen tonight in Phoenix? Well, if you can guess who will score first for the Kings, you could win yourself a nice little prize pack. And entering is easy, just follow these three simple steps…
STEP 1 – Some required reading:
STEP 2 – Click here to check out all the cool stuff Hockey Soda Energy has to offer because they’re putting together a prize pack for the winner. Their full line of Hockey Energy products are designed to improve protein metabolism, reduce fatigue and appetite, plus sharpen perception.
STEP 2 – Place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Coyotes (one entry per person). We’ll pool all the correct entries and one person will be randomly selected to receive a free Hockey Soda Energy prize pack featuring a hockey puck and a 6-pack of Hockey Energy Soda (must be 16 years of age or older).
To get you started, here are the line combinations and D-pairings that coach Darryl Sutter is expected to use:
Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams
Mike Richards – Jeff Carter - Tyler Toffoli
Dwight King – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis
Kyle Clifford - Brad Richardson - Jordan Nolan
Jake Muzzin – Drew Doughty
Rob Scuderi – Slava Voynov
Alec Martinez – Keaton Ellerby
Davis Drewiske (Update: Drewiske has been traded to the Montreal Canadiens for a fifth round draft pick) and Colin Fraser – plus Dustin Penner is on IR
Based upon who was first off the ice at the morning skate, Jonathan Quick will likely get the start in net.
Phoenix will be countering with Jason LaBarbera.
Good luck in the contest!
