MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 33 – Kings at Blues

Coning off their big win in Chicago on Monday night, the Kings will now try to ramp things back up in St. Louis after a day off following their trip to the White House.

Offensively, the Kings big guns provided some punch against the Blackhawks, including goals from Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar.

Jeff Carter continues to lead the team with 18 goals, however he’s found the back of the net just once in his last nine games.

Rookie Tyler Toffoli, who also scored on Monday, will be back in the line-up again tonight – as Dustin Penner joins fellow forward Brad Richardson on the sidelines.

If you can guess who will score first for the Kings in Chicago, you could win yourself some free food.

So, how do you play?  Three easy steps…

STEP 1 – Some required reading:

STEP 2 – Click here to check today’s sponosr, the Redondo Beach Cafe – Southern California’s all hockey restaurant.  If you haven’t been there to watch a game, you need to get down there soon.  They offer great food and have lots of great hockey memorabilia on the walls.

STEP 3 – Place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Blues (one entry per person). We’ll pool all the correct entries and one person will be randomly selected to receive a $20 gift certificate to the Redondo Beach Cafe.

To get you started, here are the line combinations and D-pairings that coach Darryl Sutter is expected to use:

FORWARDS

Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams

Mike Richards – Jeff Carter – Tyler Toffoli

Dwight King – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis

Kyle Clifford – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan

DEFENSE

Jake Muzzin – Drew Doughty

Rob Scuderi – Slava Voynov

Alec Martinez – Keaton Ellerby

Healthy Scratches: Davis Drewiske, Dustin Penner and Brad Richardson

Jonathan Quick is expected to be the starting goaltender.

Good luck in the contest!
