We’re entering the second half of the Kings’ season with tonight’s game in Phoenix. So, most of you probably know the drill by now. Essentially, guess who scores the first Kings goal and you could win a prize.
Jeff Carter continues to lead the team in goals, despite not scoring in last night’s game – after potting 13 goals in his previous 13 games. Is he cooling off or was it just an aberration?
Dustin Brown picked up two goals on Monday vs. Calgary, maybe he’s heating up. You decide.
Anze Kopitar is usually a pretty safe bet.
And the last time the Kings were in Phoenix rookie Jake Muzzin collected his first goal of the season. Drew Doughty wishes he could say the same thing, right?
[NOTE: Muzzin talked with MayorsManor about that goal, the first of his NHL career, in an interview here]
Regardless of who you think might score first tonight, you have to enter to even have a shot at winning the prize.
So, to throw your name in the hat, simply place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Coyotes tonight (one entry per person). We’ll take all of the correct entries and pool them together. From that group, one random winner will be sent a Hockey Soda Energy prize pack featuring a hockey puck and a 6-pack of Hockey Energy Soda (must be 16 years of age or older).
After placing your entry be sure to check out the full line of Hockey Energy products – all designed to improve protein metabolism, reduce fatigue and appetite, plus sharpen perception. Just click over here to see more of the great stuff they offer.
Now, to help you with your entry/guess, these are the line combinations coach Darryl Sutter has been using lately…
Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams
Dustin Penner – Mike Richards – Jeff Carter
Dwight King – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis
Kyle Clifford – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan
Jake Muzzin – Drew Doughty
Rob Scuderi – Slava Voynov
Davis Drewiske – Keaton Ellerby (update: Martinez out tonight)
Healthy Scratches: Alec Martinez, Brad Richardson and Tyler Toffoli
The Kings didn’t have a morning skate and Sutter hasn’t said anything publicly about putting Jonathan Quick or Jonathan Bernier in net tonight. The last comments we have from on the subject are here.
Good luck in the contest!
