Maybe this is baseball – Joe Buck calls Kings v Blues game

Kings’ coach Darryl Sutter likes to say ‘this isn’t baseball’ when the media presses him for starting goalie information – referring to MLB teams naming their pitching rotation before a series. However, maybe hockey is a little like baseball.  At least it was earlier tonight.

During the second period, longtime St. Louis Cardinals play-by-play man Joe Buck stopped by the local TV booth and ended up calling a portion of the game – including Davis Drewiske’s goal.

He may not be a hockey guy by trade, yet Buck picks things up pretty quickly – saying ‘Voynov is my guy’…

Buck’s father Jack was the first-ever Blues play-by-play man back in 1967. These days, son Joe does Major League Baseball and the NFL for Fox Sports.
