Justin Williams thinks Kings are going in the right direction

Post-game quotes from Justin Williams, following the Kings 4-2 win over the Coyotes:

On the importance of winning the game: “Emotionally, it’s probably good for the team to get that zero out of the win column and put a one there. But, we’ve been trending the right way. Every game has been better, and you know in turn we expect that to continue.”

On if there was talk coming into the third period about not blowing a lead for the third game in a row: “There was, but it didn’t really end up very well – they scored right out of the gate. Then, we got a goal by Jake (Muzzin). He played a great game tonight and we were able to close it out.”

On playing the Canucks Monday night: “Vancouver’s always going to be one of the top echelon teams in the league, and a team that we’re going to be battling with. Just like the rest of the 14 teams. It’s a 15 team league right now and they’re usually at the top of it. As I said, we’re going in the right direction and if we keep improving we’ll be fine.”

Post-game comments from coach Darryl Sutter and other Kings’ players are up on the homepage.
