VIDEO: Kopitar, Doughty, Mitchell after today’s pre-skate

As reported earlier in the week, the Kings decided to do something rare today and take their pre-game (morning) skate at Staples Center instead of in El Segundo. According to the players, they were told about this while in St. Louis for games one and two, so it didn’t come as a complete surprise. The team is also staying at a downtown hotel to keep in line with more of the rhythm and routines they have on the road – i.e. team meetings in the evening, team meals, etc.

After taking to the ice this morning, here’s what some of the players had to say about tonight’s game vs. the St. Louis Blues…

Anze Kopitar:

Jarret Stoll:

Drew Doughty:

Willie Mitchell:

And for a little bonus coverage, here’s coach Darryl Sutter
