Here’s the deal…
At 5pm PST the Coyotes are playing the Wild in Minnesota. If Phoenix wins that game, they’ll also be crowned the division champs and the LA/SJ winner will be seventh. If Phoenix gets one point (losing in OT or shootout), the Kings could still win the division and take third in the West – if they defeat the Sharks in regulation or overtime. In that scenario, a shootout win by LA would still give the division to Phoenix.
If Phoenix loses in regulation, it would create the ultimate showdown, where the winner of the Kings-Sharks game will claim the Pacific Division Championship.
Regardless of what happens in the Phoenix-Minnesota game though, MayorsManor will bring you the final First Goal Contest of the regular season in conjunction with the game in San Jose. Like the other night, you’ll be playing for a MayorsManor t-shirt. Entering is easy, simply leave a comment below with the LA player you think will score first vs. the Sharks. All correct answers will be pooled together and one random winner will be awarded the shirt.
To help you with your selection, the following stats may come in handy…
